Disneyland Halloween Food and Treats

Disneyland Halloween Treats

you know how much i love Halloween Time at Disneyland, and one of the reasons is the fabulous Halloween food found at Disneyland Resort. Disney does Halloween food and treats like no one else. so creative and fun and not to mention yummy, every time i visit the park during Halloween Time i have to get one….but there are so many to choose from.

first of all, check out these amazing Halloween themed caramel apples, crispy treats and marshmallow pops. these are just a few of the Halloween designs Disneyland offers. i just love them all.

Disneyland Halloween Candy Applesbut my personal fave is found at the French Market, so that i could pick up this sweet and spooky dessert featuring Sally from Nightmare before Christmas. the Oreo mousse and Oreo cookie crumbs are the main reason i love it so, and i was lucky to get a few bites, as my boys also loved it.
Jack Skellington Chocolate Tomb and if you are looking for some more Nightmare Before Christmas fun, get a Halloween drink filled with these ghostly light-up Jack Skellington glow cubesJack Skellington Ice Cubesduring the week of Halloween, Disneyland will offer some special menu items that are to die for! you can get the ooey, gooey, cheesy, Munster Chicken Sausage Sandwich at Carnation Cafe. it is covered in muenster cheese, onions, red bell peppers, and mushrooms and all the yumminess that comes along with it.

Disneyland Muenster Chicken Sausage Sandwich how about this Zinfandel Spaghetti with roasted golden beets, pine nuts and golden raisins. you can find it at Storytellers Café at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. the pasta gets its “seasonal” color from wine and it’s only available the week of Halloween. so fun!

Disneyland Zinfandel Spaghettiand vampires will stay away with this delicious slice of Anti-Vampire Garlic Chicken Flatbread pizza. its cheesy goodness is from Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. this Halloween pizza delight is topped with roasted garlic sauce, chicken, smoked gouda, mozzarella, roasted red peppers and a tomato harissa sauce drizzle.

Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival 2014

cal-poly-pomona-college-pumpkin-patch

one of my family’s favorite and biggest pumpkin festivals in SoCal is happening this weekend, the Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival will take place October 18-19th. i can never get over just how many pumpkins are in this pumpkin patch. as the weekend festival opens, people from all over come to this enormous pumpkin patch. there are so many pumpkins, that even though everyone is taking them, it still looks like no one has taken any. there are plenty for everyone!

cal-poly-pomona-pumpkin-patch

this festival is a favorite of our family. sometimes we go with a group and check out the pumpkin patch the week before the festival. so quiet and serene. it really is breathtaking. there is something about bright orange round pumpkins that brings happiness and joy to people.

but we also love to go to the festival as well. there is a pancake breakfast, a fun Halloween movie you can see in the auditorium, a farm store where you can get fresh produce and check out their amazing variety of gourds and pumpkins, the biggest selections that I  have ever seen, hay maze, petting zoo, bug fair, booths with bake goods, and of course the biggest pumpkin patch in Southern California.

we may or may not buy things, but we always take lots of pictures. how can you not with such wonderful festive backdrops and scenery.

the kids love to run among the pumpkins in the field, and i spend my time trying not to loose them amongst the thousands of pumpkins. be sure to bring some water with you, it can be a hike just to get out of this pumpkin patch. i also suggest bringing a wagon or a stroller of you have small children. that way you can carry those with tired feet or fill it up with $5 pumpkins. yep…every pumpkin is only $5.

Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is Open for Fall

Happy Fall! and nothing says fall more than pumpkin patches and running through hay mazes.

irvine-park-pumkin-patch-hay-maze

it’s no secret that we love the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch. i post about it every year…and while trying to put together this post, i found that we had been to this favorite Orange County Pumpkin Patch over 10 times just last year. i had over 330 photos to choose from…thus all the different outfits we are wearing the pictures below. ahh, the memories…it’s so much fun to visit pumpkin patches in the fall.

well, we are happy to announce that the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is NOW OPEN!  (make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom of this post for the chance to win tickets.)

irvine-park-pumpkin-patch-train

what i love about the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is that no matter how many time you go during the season, no two times are the same. there is so many different activities to do, that each time you go, you can do something different. but, we ALWAYS ride the train. it has always been a favorite of my boys…especially when they were  the ages 1-5 years old.

socal-train-ride-halloweenannual-irvine-park-train

and we ALWAYS  get measured on the  giant pumpkin patch ruler. it is so fun to see how the kids have grown each year.

you can visit the (semi-spooky) Haunted House….

orange-county-haunted-house

or take a hayride around the park. this is one of my favorite things to do.

orange-county-hay-ride

the boys like to decorate Halloween cookies at the cookie booth. they like lots of frosting and lots of sprinkles.

irvine-park-pumkin-patch-cookies

you can guess the weight of a giant pumpkin. we have guessed every year…but haven’t been right yet.

there are also other things to do at the Pumpkin Patch such at the bouncey house, mini John Deere Tractor rides and pony rides, but i just couldn’t show everything LOL. and we usually run amongst the pumpkins. there are many different varieties around the patch.

we picked out this pumpkin last year.
