Santa Ana Winter Village & Tree Lighting

The annual Santa Ana Winter Village has become a favorite to Santa Ana and Orange County residents. This holiday attraction takes place in the heart of Santa Ana. Participants of all ages can enjoy an outdoor ice-skating rink, live entertainment, holiday shopping, local food trucks, and much more.

The annual Santa Ana Winter Village opens December 8, 2022 through January 8, 2023. Family-friendly activities available throughout the month, along with outdoor ice skating that is available every day.

Santa Ana Winter Village Tree Lighting

The official grand opening of the second annual Winter Village is on Saturday, December 10, 2022. During the grand opening event, you can come enjoy fun free activities at the Winter Village. Come meet the Anaheim Ducks Street Team, taste food from Northgate Market, visit holiday vendors, and enjoy much more throughout the day. Santa will arrive at 4:00pm, and you can meet him and take aa photo. Bring your own camera!

The official Santa Ana Tree Lighting Ceremony will happen at 5:00pm. Official and city guests will join the community to kick off the tree lighting.

General admission into the Winter Village Opening Ceremony and Tree Lighting is free of charge.

Before and after the Tree lighting event there was opportunities to meet the Anaheim Ducks Street Team and try some ice hockey activities.

There will also be crafts and other activities for the kids.

If you would would like to ice skate at the grand opening, you will need reservations. Outdoor ice-skating reservations can be purchased online. Go to the Winter Village website for more information on full month-long event details, directions, parking and other activities.

Ice Skating at the Santa Ana Winter Village

Last year my kids absolutely loved ice skating at the Santa Ana Winter Village. It was the perfect activity to get in the holiday spirit. I liked that it was a great activity for my older and younger kids. They had these cute Seal Ice Skating Assists that the little kids could ride on. It also could be a walker to help with skating. I highly recommend bringing snow pants or bibs to keep them from getting wet.

Do I need to purchase ice skating tickets before my visit?

No, but it is highly recommended. There are limited ice-skating tickets available per session. Purchase tickets online ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

How much does it cost to ice skate at the Santa Ana Winter Village?

Kids (12yrs and under): $5 for Santa Ana residents and $10 for non-residents
Adults: $10 for Santa Ana residents and $15 for non-residents
Skate rental is included in ticket purchase.

When can I start making ice skating reservations?

Ice-skating reservations and tickets are available for purchase starting on November 19th. Click here for reservations.

Sessions can be rescheduled within one hour of session start time. No refunds permitted.
