"This summer we thought it would be a fun adventure to visit The Huntington, Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens. it ended up being such a great place to visit. the kids had a great time walking around the many different gardens.
we walked through the desert and saw all different kinds of interesting cactus. The kids especially loved seeing the lily ponds with all the hundreds of koi fish swimming in them. We also saw a leatherback turtle hanging out by the rocks, and heard bullfrogs singing. Pretty cool.
Then we hiked up through the forest garden to see a beautiful waterfall. There's also a little maze that the kids had fun running around. We enjoyed a little snack break at the Cafe in the gardens. We also toured the huntington mansion.
Makai said he wished he was Mr. Huntington so that he could live in a place like that. LOL.
We had lots of fun, and will definitely go back again. Dont forget forget free day is the first thurs of the month."
