Dragonfly Hollow in Old Towne Orange: Fairy gardens classes in Orange County

By Jill Parkin • Published: Apr 5, 2011 · Updated: Dec 27, 2021

A couple saturdays ago, my little Kyle and I went on the perfect outing! We went to make fairy gardens at Dragonfly Hollow at the Dragonfly Shops & Gardens in Old Towne Orange. They offer children's fairy garden classes the 1st saturday of every month, and even adult fairy garden classes on select days. And if you haven't had the chance to visit the Dragonfly Shops & Gardens, I highly suggest a visit to this enchanted garden of unique treasures and boutique stores.

Anyways, I was Kyle was super excited to get to learn about gardening and create the most charming little garden. we met outside where Kyle got to paint his own pot for his garden, then add soil, plants, rocks and a whole bunch of cute little creatures.

Here are the talented ladies of Dragonfly Hollow, Kim Domer and Dani Mendenhall. They did an awesome job of showing us how to make our gardens.

Don't forget to add magic fairy dust, a birdhouse and a lady bug for good luck! And did you know that the fairy's like to visit the garden every night?

Almost complete. (I didn't get a final picture before I sent my camera to the shop for repairs. but picture his garden with a little birdhouse, tiny gazing ball, a miniature turtle, frog and lady bug.) Isn't it adorable!

I'm glad I found your post, as a friend was telling me about that place and I was just random searching for it online! Come visit my blog next month as the whole month will be dedicated to faerie gardens!
