Disney's ALADDIN the Musical is a Broadway production that was adapted from the animated Disney film, Aladdin and the centuries-old folktale, “One Thousand and One Nights!” The full music score, includes five cherished songs from the Academy Award-winning soundtrack and more written especially for the stage by Tony® and Academy Award® winner Alan Menken.
Get ready for special effects like no other, including magic carpet. The dancing will feature an extended tap break and glittering gold costumes adorned with thousands of Swarovski crystals! The musical number “Friend Like Me” is an homage to Busby Berkeley’s 1933 classic movie musical 42nd Street. And the sets are spectacular with massive towers designed in art deco style.
Disney's Aladdin: the Broadway musical opened in 2014, and has now made its way to the West Coast! Presented by Disney, it's sure to entertain Southern California audiences. If you have the opportunity to see this show you're in for an AMAZING treat! The cast of course is AMAZING, the music is AMAZING, the scenery and special effects are AMAZING!
Disney's Aladdin makes an incredible first Broadway experience for children, one of my top show picks for kids. The perfect chance to expose your children to the arts! It also makes an amazing date night and or family night on Broadway! Most importantly, being able to see it at your Orange County home theater is super special. I just love the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. It's a great theater, with great amenities located nearby.
May I suggest dinner at Claim Jumper South Coast Plaza. They will have Aladdin themed menu items to celebrate the show. In fact, the create themed menu items for every Segerstrom Musical. Best of all, and you can park at the restaurant and walk across the bridge which makes it a super convenient dining choice before or after the show.

About the Show
The premise of the show - ALADDIN, taking place in the fictional Arabian city of Agrabah, tells the story of the beloved street rat Aladdin who has a kind heart. With the help of the all-powerful Genie, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and moral character. His journey begins with different characters and adventures. And along the way, he finds true love, earns the adoration of his kingdom, and discovers that one’s true worth is a treasure that comes from within.
Will he live happily ever after? Or will the evil Jafar get his way? Aladdin’s journey sweeps audiences into an exciting world of daring adventure, classic comedy and timeless romance.
