    Crispy Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes

    This post is sponsored.– The hustle and bustle of the holidays have arrive. so much to get done with so little time. for me, i have a lot of cooking and baking to do. not only for the holidays, but also for my families everyday meals. with all the events and parties we get to attend, a home cooked meal is really important when we have the chance to eat at home. these  Crispy Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes not only make a great dish to share during the holidays, they also make a great sir dish for a family dinner at home. they re really easy to make and add a sweet compliment to any meat or event a salad for a vegetarian meal. When Baker’s Secret asked me to try out their colored bakeware and share a favorite recipe, i knew this was the perfect dish bake in them.

    I used the 8" round metal bakeware pan to make my Crispy Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes, but you can use any size of bakeware you want.

    How to make Crispy Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes

    To make these easy Crispy Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes, you will need: sweet potatoes, brown sugar, honey, butter and olive oil.

    First, peel the sweet potatoes, leaving a strip of skin on the bottom of each potato. Then thinly slice the sweet potatoes making sure not to cut all the way through so that the slices stay together.

    Place the sweet potato slices into the baking pan.

    Brush olive oil over the sweet potatoes. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Try to get it between the slices. Dot with butter. Finally, drizzle honey over the top.

    Bake in the oven at 375ºf for approximately 1 hour or until the potatoes are cooked through and are soft. Serve and enjoy!

    4-5 large sweet potatoes
    ¼ cup brown sugar
    1 - 2 Tablespoons butter
    1 Tablespoon olive oil
    honey

      I LOVE sweet potatoes! My husband's family makes some great ones but this recipe sounds amazing and I might have to volunteer to make them next time!

      For me, the thing that sets a holiday meal apart is the dessert, and I love a cheesecake more than just about anything. It can be changed up with the season; for example, we'll probably be having a nice pumpkin cheesecake for our Thanksgiving dessert.

      I love mashed potatoes on thanksgiving but I always serve sweet potatoes (Yams) and regular because double carbs!!
