Rainbow fun: Rainbow Pudding Pops Recipe

we love popsicles around here, especially pudding pops! so we made some delicious rainbow banana pudding pops yesterday which are super simple to make….and they come out so pretty you just have to smile! the best thing about using pudding for the rainbow is that you don’t have to wait for each colored layer to set before adding the next color. since the pudding is thick, you can just layer them all at once. these are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any day for that matter.

how to make pudding pops

ingredients
2 – large boxes (5.1 oz) instant pudding mix (light colored)
milk
food coloring
Dixie Cups (5 oz.)
popsicle sticks

directions
• prepare pudding according to the directions. (you may need to add a little more milk to make the pudding pourable.)
• let pudding stand until it has thickened a bit.
• divide into 5 parts and color each part with food coloring.
• layer each color of pudding into small dixie cups.
• cover with tin foil. insert popsicle sticks.
• chill in refrigerator 2 hours, then place in freezer to completely freeze.
• to eat, peal off dixie cup paper and enjoy your pudding pop!
• makes 10 – 12 popsicles

happy eating!

Rainbow fun: part 1

so what i love most about the month of march….besides my little boy who turned 5 today!…..besides the fact that my birthday is in this month…..and besides that St. Patrick’s Day is coming……is that this is the month where you see Leprechauns everywhere. and when there are Leprechauns, there are rainbows. and where there are rainbows, there are pots of gold.
however, i have seen many rainbows lately….and still haven’t got my hands on a pot of gold! but i still thought i would share all the wonderful rainbows i have seen.

St. Patrick’s Day Banner: Free Printable

Free Printable St. Patrick's Day Banner
last year for St. Patrick’s Day i designed a little flag banner. i sure do love flag banners. these are pictures from last year. i probably should have printed it out on heavier cardstock. but i was pregnant, pretty much my excuse for everything back then!
and since there are a lot of new readers of my blog…. i thought that i should repost the link for this free printable.
all you have to do is:
1. print out the flags onto some cardstock from your printer
2. fold the tops of the flags over a ribbon, yarn or string. glue or tape the back.
3. hang them up!
now you will have some St. Patty’s Day CHEER! hope you are crafty.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from sandy toes and popsicles! hope you have a green day. we’ve have sneaky leprechauns, green milk and green pancakes, and plenty of questions about getting pinched. ( i had to remind my oldest that he could get in big trouble if he pinched kids if the aren’t wearing green, so we had to practice).
and for the lucky winner……..Congratulations to Tonya! lucky number 43. email me with your address. and thank you all for the birthday wishes, it was a great day!
