Tall Ships Festival 2012

every year our family looks forward to going to the Tall Ships Festival at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point! it is just two weeks away! it’s a great activity for the entire family, and there is always lots to see, activities for the kiddies and interactive demonstrations. you surely will see lots of pirates walking around, beautiful tall ships, pirate shows, live music and vendor booths with lots of loot.  we always bring a picnic lunch to eat on the beach and buy some fresh kettle corn there to munch on. one of our favorite things to do is watch the cannon battle.

the best thing about the Tall Ships Festival, is that it’s free. (tall ship deck tours and admission to the Ocean Institute is an additional fee) click here for a full list of fun free and payed activities.

if you would like to  go into the Ocean Institute, you can view the many ocean life exhibits and even attend “Friendly Pirate School.” we went last year and had a lot of fun going into the Ocean Institute and discovery the aquatic animals.
