do you have a kiddie who loves to play chess? then the 37th Annual Staser Fall Scholastic Chess Tournament at the Orange County Great Park is for you! scholastic chess players are invited to challenge their creative minds on Saturday, November 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
presented by the Orange County Great Park and American Chess Equipment, the 37th Annual Staser Chess Championship was created by Miley Staser, a senior citizen, to give students throughout the Southland an opportunity to meet over a chessboard, enhance their learning and life skills through chess and make new friends.
the tournament will have an un-rated section available for kids K-12 to play chess against each other. there will also be USCF rated section available for kids who are rated for a $10 fee. prizes will be given out at the end of the tournament. please register for the chess tournament by Friday, November 16, 2012.
